EP#25 Is College Worth It? 1 Million say no.
/

On Saturday, January 15, Daniel Henninger stated on the Wall Street Journal editorial report that enrollment in America’s colleges and universities is down 1 million students since the pandemic began.

Today over 43 million people owe more than $1.7 Trillion in student debt.

According to educationaldata.org the average public university student borrows $30,000 to obtain a bachelor’s degree.

Many are wondering if it is still worth it especially when so many classes are online and students miss out that “typical college” experience so many young people hoped for.

Today, Janet Maltbie, career expert and founder of the No Loan Zone podcast, interviews students from the campus of Lorain County Community College on the first day of the spring 2022 semester.

In the midst of this pandemic, what keeps them motivated?

Why do they press on? Do they think a college education is worth it?

Their answers might surprise you.
